Reasons to be Cheerful! > My Advice > My Disclaimer

'Reasons to be Cheerful, part 3', a song by Ian Dury and the Blockheads issued
on July 20th 1979, was inspired by a near fatal accident while the band was on
tour in Italy. The lyrics are a random list of things which make life worth living!

One of the objectives of any business enterprise is usually to satisfy the desires
of the business's customers. If this is achieved in a way which includes the
generation of a profit for the business, then a successful transaction will have
taken place. How the business participants decide to apportion the profit element
will likely influence the reputation and credibility enjoyed by the business.

The Business model adopted might also influence the perception which people
attribute to a particular enterprise. A monopolistic business model is likely to be
the most potentially successful method whereby the product or service is totally
unique to the business concerned. In these circumstances, brand equity will be
an important part of the marketing mix.

I plan to continue this theme at the forthcoming South Wiltshire Business EXPO in
Salisbury City Hall on Wednesday, 24 September 2008, 9:00am to 6:00pm.
